Five Chicago restaurant industry leaders were honored as inductees into the 2017 Chefs Hall of Fame by the Chicago Culinary Museum: Chef Fabio Viviani, Chef Sébastien Canonne, Chef Pierre Pollin, Jim Kallas, and Charlie Mok. The event took place on March 8 at the Crystal Gardens on Navy Pier.
Due to this, Mayor Rahm Emanuel has also proclaimed it will be “Chef Fabio Viviani Day in Chicago”. This event serves as the annual fundraiser for the Chicago Culinary Museum.
The culinary event was open to the public and featured an open bar, wandering feast from top local restaurants including Bar Siena, Mad Social, Riva, Bittersweet, Heaven on Seven, LaScarola and more, along with a silent auction, raffle, and awards presentation.
