Herrera rose to stardom on “Rebelde,” one of the most successful television series in the history of Latin America. In addition to “Rebelde,” Herrera was part of the band RBD, which has garnered more than 89 awards, including the Billboard Latin Music Award for Best International Band.

“Rebelde’s” success made Herrera a household name in Mexico, leading him to star in a number of projects, including “Mujeres Asesinas,” produced by Pedro Torres; Luis Estrada’s 2014 political satire, “The Perfect Dictatorship,” which became the fourth highest-grossing movie in Mexican film history; and Antonio Chavarría’s “The Chosen,” in which he played Ramon Mercader, who was known for assassinating Leon Trotsky in Mexico in 1940.

About “The Exorcist”:

Opening an entirely new chapter in the iconic franchise, Season Two of THE EXORCIST finds FATHER TOMAS ORTEGA (Alfonso Herrera) and a newly collarless MARCUS KEANE (Ben Daniels) out of Chicago and on the road, searching out evil. Across the Atlantic, FATHER BENNETT (Kurt Egyiawan) attempts to weed out those within the Vatican who have turned against God. Ultimately, Tomas and Marcus are led to ANDREW KIM (John Cho), a former child psychologist who runs a group home for five at-risk foster children on a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children under Andrew’s care is targeted by a powerful force, the two priests head west, setting themselves on a collision course with Hell.

THE EXORCIST is from Morgan Creek Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Jeremy Slater. The series is executive-produced by Slater, Sean Crouch, Jason Ensler, Rupert Wyatt, Roy Lee, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall.
